When DI Liam Kavanagh investigates a body found at Tilbury Docks, it quickly becomes clear that the crime scene has been carefully staged. One overlooked detail — a knot tied the wrong way — leads him to a blackmail operation that is still active.

 

When a second body is discovered, the investigation closes in on Ethan, a young officer on Kavanagh’s own team. Ethan may hold the key to the truth, but his connection to the case also places him in danger — forcing Kavanagh to decide how far he is prepared to go to protect him.
